Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) specializing in trauma recovery and women’s issues. She has a passion for helping people heal by telling their story and lived experiences through a lens of self-compassion. She uses elements of Narrative Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) during session to help clients let go the past and move confidently into the future.

Melissa is also passionate about integrating faith-based practices with evidence-based treatment to create spaces for people who are struggling to see God in their story and to understand God’s role and purpose in their pain. She is happy to incorporate spiritual perspectives and principles in a treatment plan upon request, while also respecting and embracing individuality on this topic.

Melissa holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College, as well as a Level Two Certificate in Narrative-Focused Trauma Care from the Allender Center.
