Carl brings decades of experience serving children and families in public and non-profit child welfare settings. He is committed to helping people grow and overcome burdens that are interfering with daily living, depleting joy, or harming relationships. He assists men struggling with mental health challenges such as employment stress, depression and/or anxiety, who are dealing with divorce, or who are navigating the challenges of being in a blended family, or who are experiencing grief and loss.
Carl has completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method for use in couple’s therapy and uses this modality to help couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, overcome conflicts, and restore joy and harmony in their relationships.
For those struggling with anger, he uses the evidence-based NAMA curriculum to help individuals learn to better manage anger-provoking life events and circumstances. Carl believes we can find hope, gain confidence, and improve coping skills with the help of a compassionate, insight-oriented counselor.
